Stacey Fazackerley is a game developer who is currently working on releases for PlayStation, Xbox and Steam as Mantra Games. Stacey has always had an interest in creating games for social change starting with his politically inspired, and soon to be released Steam title Anon Hacker- a first person shooter where you play a hactivist who shoots code to defeat our corrupt politicians, save whistle blowers and eventually make the world debt free.
Stacey volunteers his spare time to raising awareness about animal rights and veganism. He has created a virtual reality experience for Oculus Go which shows the horrors of our food system. The user experiences the perspective of factory farmed animals from the start of life, to the end on the kill floor. Stacey has formed the Animal Rights Squad- a not for profit group which for the last year has visited Perth universities with Oculus headsets offering hundreds of students delicious free vegan food in exchange for using his app for 3 minutes or more. Stacey’s journey has led him to pivot the project into a whole new direction based on desired outcomes and the interesting results he has learned from the field.
